Happy new year, everyone! Hope you’re off to a grand start. I’m always looking for little tips and tricks for making my everyday look a bit more fun, stylish, and special. Accessories are fabulous because, with minimal effort, you can maximize the cuteness of any outfit. It’s all about the details! To inspire you, here are a few of my favorite simple, DIY glam-it-up pins from my Glam Life Tutorials board on Pinterest. Enjoy!
One of the accessories that I love most is cute gloves! Have you ever noticed how the women in vintage photos always had pretty little gloves that gave them that polished, dressed-to-the-nines look? Make yourself some dolled-up digit covers using only a few inexpensive materials and a hot glue gun with this DIY Pom Pom Gloves tutorial from The Alison Show. SO cute!
Another vintage fashion staple, for good reason, is the bangle bracelet. When vintage and thrift shopping, I’m always on the lookout for bold, statement bangles that will add that perfect pop of color to an outfit. My favorite type, vintage Bakelite bracelets, are usually beyond my jewelry budget, unfortunately. Here’s an easy way to make some fun and colorful bangles yourself though, in exactly the color(s) you want! Just follow this simple DIY Colorblock Bangle tutorial from Lovely Indeed.
And of course, don’t forget the shoes! Check out this fun DIY! Fancy up some plain pumps with this super easy Stud Trim Embellished Pump tutorial from Glitter ‘N Glue. Pretty simple, yet pretty perfect!
Most importantly, show off those gorgeous new accessories and capture this phase of your ever-evolving style with some fun pics! Find out how to look more fab for the camera in photographer Kate Pease’s article, “Yes, You Are Photogenic.” Even the most casual snapshot can look amazing with a few simple posing tricks!
